Every day, thousands of drivers let someone merge, wait for a cyclist, or stop for a pedestrian, and nobody ever thanks them. And when someone drives badly, all you can do is fume, flash your lights, or post an angry video. RoadNice gives you a better option: a quick, structured note that reaches the one person who can do something about it, the vehicle's keeper, without the shouting.
Private, not public
Feedback is only ever seen by the verified keeper of that vehicle. There's no lookup and no league table of drivers.

Three steps, after your journey
RoadNice takes less than a minute, and it's built to be used once you've parked or when you're a passenger, never while you're driving.
Notice a moment
Someone lets you out at a busy junction, or tailgates you on the motorway. Remember the plate, or ask your passenger to note it, and carry on driving.
Leave feedback
Once you're parked, enter the plate. RoadNice checks it against official vehicle records and shows you the make, model and colour, so you know it's the right car. Then pick what you saw from a simple list and confirm roughly when and where it happened.
The keeper sees it privately
If the vehicle's keeper has claimed it on RoadNice, they see your feedback on their own dashboard, showing only the part of the day and the general area. They never see who you are.

Never while you're driving
RoadNice knows when your phone is moving at driving speed. If you open it on the move, it won't let you start a report. Instead it offers to save a reminder for when you've stopped, or asks you to confirm that you're a passenger.
- Save for later. Tap once to hold the moment, and finish the report when you're parked.
- Passenger mode. Passengers can report straight away, and the report is marked as coming from a passenger.
- Location is optional. RoadNice suggests where a moment happened, and you can always correct it or leave it out.
See how your driving comes across
Claim your vehicle to see what other road users have noticed about it: the thank-yous as well as the concerns. It's useful for any driver, and especially for parents of new drivers, company fleets and anyone proud of their driving.
- Prove it's yours. We check the plate against official DVSA vehicle records, then you photograph your plate next to a one-time code. A reviewer checks it, and the photo is deleted as soon as they decide.
- Your private dashboard. See every piece of feedback about your vehicle, with the time shown only as part of the day and the location only as a general area.
- Dispute anything unfair. Choose a reason, and a real person reviews it. Upheld disputes remove the feedback and lower the reporter's standing.
- Sold the car? End your time as keeper in one tap. The next keeper starts fresh, and your history stays yours.
Built to be trusted by both sides
A feedback app about vehicles only works if drivers trust it won't be used against them unfairly, and if reporters trust they won't be exposed. RoadNice was designed around both from day one.
No public lookup
Nobody can type in a plate and see a score. The only person who can see feedback about a vehicle is its verified keeper.
Reporters stay anonymous
Keepers never see who left feedback, the exact time, or the exact place, only the part of the day and the general area.
Plates are scrambled
Number plates are stored as an irreversible code, never in plain text, so the database can't be read as a list of vehicles.
Automatic fairness checks
Reports are held for review when one person keeps reporting the same vehicle, when a burst of brand-new accounts targets one car, or when someone's location jumps impossibly.
Limits and standing
You can report a vehicle once a day, and 20 times a day in total. Reporters whose feedback is upheld on dispute lose standing, and their future reports count for less.
Your data, your call
See everything you've submitted, and delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time. We never sell personal information.
Kindness that counts
RoadNice rewards the behaviour it wants to see more of: noticing good driving, reporting consistently and fairly, and helping your area improve.
- Levels and points. Earn more for positive feedback and for reporting steadily over time, not for volume.
- Badges. Collect them for milestones like your first thank-you, a week of spotting, or looking out for cyclists.
- Area leaderboards. Towns and neighbourhoods compete on how courteous their roads are. Areas are ranked, never people or vehicles.
- Community goal and weekly recap. Work together towards a shared monthly target, and get a round-up of your week to share.

When can I get RoadNice?
RoadNice launches on 1 November 2026 on the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iPhone. It's free to download and use.
Is this a way to report people to the police?
No. RoadNice is about courtesy and self-awareness, not enforcement. Feedback goes only to the vehicle's verified keeper. If you witness a crime or an emergency, contact the police directly. We only share information with the police or a court where the law requires it.
Can someone look up my car and see its score?
No. There is no public lookup of any kind. Only the verified keeper of a vehicle can see feedback about it, and only for the time they have been its keeper.
Will the keeper know I left feedback?
No. Keepers never see who left feedback. They see what was observed, the date, the part of the day (morning, afternoon, evening or night) and the general area, never your name, the exact time or the exact place.
What stops people leaving false or malicious feedback?
Several things. You can only choose from a fixed list, with no free text. You can report the same vehicle at most once a day. Automatic checks hold suspicious patterns for a person to review. How do I prove a vehicle is mine?
Enter your plate and a short description of the vehicle, and we'll check it against official DVSA records. Then take a photo of the plate on your car, next to a one-time code the app shows you. A reviewer checks it, and the photo is deleted as soon as they decide.
What if I sell my car?
Tap "I've sold or changed this vehicle" to end your time as keeper. The next keeper only ever sees feedback from their own time with the vehicle, and your history is never passed on.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, at any time, from More → Account → Delete my account. It removes your account, your reports, any vehicle claims and your rewards straight away.
Does RoadNice work outside the UK?
RoadNice launches in the UK first. It's built to support other countries' number plates and rules, and we plan to expand after launch.
